Good Points, Bad Points

The upside of living in a downtown neighborhood: Chris Daughtry is giving a downtown free concert, and I can hear every note!

This is a cry for help. Did you get back from the K&W at 6:00 and just want to watch Matlock? We're having lunch next week and I am going to bring you a mix tape and some Iron City Light. Do not go gentle, David.

My favorite part (also listening from inside my house) was when he played the same song twice, maybe three times about 20 minutes apart . . . you know, the one they play during the American Idol commercials . . . so people tell me.

Matlock? Hmmf. I'm a Mannix man.

And did you actually say you're bringing me a mix tape? Whoa, rad to the max, dude! Hope it's got some Adam Ant on it.

Seriously, I should clarify. I like downtown concerts -- great coup for the 'Boro.

It's just that Daughtry doesn't do much for me, especially when he plays the same song three times.

Dude was making a video, can't expect him to do it all in one take.

Understood. But young Killian agrees with me about the music.

I LOVED Mannix. Every single episode, Peggy would tell him, "Don't go Joe, it's a trap!" He'd go anyway, usuall to: 1) abandoned warehouse, 2) abandoned factory, or 3) abandoned something else.

QUIZ! What kind of car did Mannix and ALL Quinn-Martin Productions dudes drive?

The concert was amazing! The only reason they did the song home 3X was because they were shooting a video. 22,000 seemed to have a good time. The thing about art and misic is not evryone shares the same opinion of what is good but from his double platinum album sales more people agree that Daughtry is good.

Ok, I'm not going to google the car before I guess.

I think it was one of those big American-made sedans, probably two-door, huge front grill, big bumpers, square body shape. Some kind of Mercury?

I'm going to check now ...

I guess I was wrong, because I thought you were right -- FORD LTD!

Sadly, I think it was Barnaby Jones who drove the LTD.

From a commenter on this site: "Barnaby runs down the kidnappers with his 3 ton Ford LTD, gets shot at, ducks, and kills the kidnappers with a single shot."
